Writing in QX Magazine’s ‘Revoltage’ column, Mark Moore has heaped praise onto Vince Clarke’s most recent remix – a reworking of Billie Ray Martin’s ‘Sweet Suburban Disco’ single – saying, ‘He gives it a bassline which sounds like it’s escaped from Chicago circa 1987… with added disco syn drums just to be on the safe side… then some uplifting synth pads come in followed by a rave-like riff. You had me at the syn drums! Subtle but totally killer! Please Vince and Billie … can we have some more? Team-up of the year.’
